BIRMINGHAM, Mich. – Sept. 7 2011 – Michael Kelly is responsible for business development and retention for The Townsend Hotel's corporate catering market. He is also in charge of all planning and coordination for meetings, conferences and catered events for the local, national and international business communities that the Townsend serves.

A true catering sales specialist, Kelly enjoys meeting new people and cultivating relationships. He has had great success in developing these connections, and will continue to flourish as he works on upcoming media events, including activities with the Detroit Baseball Association.

Kelly joined The Townsend Hotel on Sept. 7, 2011 after serving more than five years as the director of catering sales at the Hilton Grand Rapids Airport./p>

The alumnus from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich. obtained a degree in Business Administration and currently resides with his family in Grand Blanc.
