Pet bathrobes, menus featuring delicacies such as kitty Cat-viar and Mutt Meatballs and 24 hour pet concierge services including walking, in-room grooming and pet excursions, are all on offer to guests with four legged friends from Preferred Hotel Group.

The Colonnade Hotel, Boston, MA

The Colonnade Hotel, a member of Summit Hotels & ResortsT, is proud to boast the highest rating given by Pets Welcome - 5 Paws. On a complimentary basis, guests are availed the use of fluffy pet beds and food bowls, as well as a selection of three brands of dry dog and cat food such as Purina One, Science Diet and Eukanuba. Forgot your leash at home? Not a problem, the hotel has one. For a small fee, the concierge will engage one of the staff to take fido for a walk. They will also happily assist guests in arranging for veterinarian services, pet sitting services, dog grooming and spa services during your stay. As a small favor The Colonnade would be extremely grateful if guests sign their "Pet Registry" at the Front Desk to ensure special benefits and offers for future visits.

The Lodge at Pebble Beach, CA

Set against a backdrop of blossoming gardens, ocean-side fairways and magical sunsets over Carmel Bay, guests can retreat to The Lodge at Pebble Beach for a little tranquillity with their favourite friend. At the touch of a button guests can take advantage of pet concierge and pampering services; request beach toys and treats, pet concierge information on locations of nearby veterinarians, sitters, and pet friendly places on the Monterey Peninsula, or, finally, for nightly turndown and cleaning services. A member of Preferred Hotels® & Resorts, The Lodge is renowned for its fresh fish and seafood, and now its exclusive Puppy Menu - Chompin' Nuggets served à la carte in a Pebble Beach souvenir bowl.

Hotel Monteleone New Orleans, LA

Set in the Historic French Quarter, this Summit Hotels & Resorts member is proud to announce that it is has gone to the cats and dogs! Now a pet-friendly hotel complete with a four-legged guest amenity upon check-in that includes a mat with water and food bowls and a bag of treats. For the human traveler, the hotel also provides a special pet-friendly brochure that highlights area attractions, such as restaurants and parks, where dogs are welcome. Upon arrival, guests must sign a pet application that outlines specific rules and fees including a $100 non-refundable cleaning fee and a $25 per night "pet rate." There are no restrictions on which rooms must be used, so suites are available to guests with pets.

The Sherry-Netherland, New York City, NY

A trip to the Big Apple is never the same without a stroll through Central Park, a trip to Times Square and boutique shopping on Fifth Avenue. The Sherry-Netherland, a member of Preferred BoutiqueT, is the perfect place to stay. Located on Fifth Avenue with elegantly furnished suites and apartments, guests can stay in style - with their pets. The Sherry-Netherland now has a fantastic weekend pet package for guests and their favourite friends. Fido's Lap of Luxury, starting from $429, includes a two night stay in a deluxe double room, luxury bedding, treats, sitters, and a DVD of 101 Dalmatians for entertainment.

The Townsend Hotel, Birmingham, MI

Finding accommodations, food and the proper care for the pet can be difficult while traveling. However, The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan treats dogs the same way it treats the travelers who frequent the hotel: as part of the family.
